Dangerously RomanticDangerously Romantic

I’m a writer, a trained marine biologist and the mother of two small children. We emigrated to Canada in 2004 which totally changed the structure of my life. Firstly, it put school back by two years, delaying my writing ambitions :), secondly, it removed us all from our family and friends. My husband & I are used to coping on our own, but being thousands of miles from our nearest and dearest was a challenge. We do love to travel and the kids have already seen many of the sights people spend a lifetime dreaming of. The Great Barrier Reef, Uluru, Sydney Harbor, Scotland, Ireland Wales and England, and last December we made it to Disney World and had a blast. Everyone is welcome to join our adventures…

Haphazard HappenstancesHaphazard Happenstances

I’m a SAHM to two wonderfully strong-willed, independent, opinionated girls who are just like their mom! My world consists of good humor, good fun and lots of hugs and kisses. My blogging focuses on the perils of being a mother and a wife and the daily little tidbits of life that make me laugh out loud or give me reason to pause.I’m happily living in Texas, where I belong, but have managed to live as far away as Copenhagen Denmark. My days of being “cool” are long gone, but I try to at least fool my husband into thinking I’m “all that” and more! I know nothing about HTML, because I haven’t taken the time to sit down long enough and figure it out, so I am a slave to templates!

Offbeat MotherhoodOffbeat Motherhood

Hi, My name is Dawn Siler. I’m a 36 year old stay at home mom from Pennsylvania. I have three children (ages 9, 7, & 6) and a great husband.I’m also a self taught artist, who is constantly striving to create new and interesting works of art. I’m relatively new to this blogging phenomenon. I just recently found out about two months ago that mom blogs even existed (boy, was I late). A few weeks ago I decided to blog about my daily life as a wife and mother and chronicle my adventures on navigating through the ups and downs of my sometimes extraordinarily frenzied life. Being a mom, I think, is the best, but most challenging job that you can take on. I’m just glad that I took on the challenge.

the everyday momthe everyday mom

I’m an almost-40-year-old mother of four, am married to the man of my dreams and have a growing freelance photography and writing business.I enjoy writing about my everyday life, which includes my wonderful kids, my hot husband, dreams about celebrities and, sometimes, boogers in my nose. I don’t think people should pretend to be perfectin fact I find it quite nauseating. Perfection is boring, and life should definitely not be boring. So far my accomplishments in life are a loving marriage of 17 years, four happy kids and balancing the precise amount of apple juice and cheese a three-year-old can consume in a day and still remain regular.I’m just an everyday mom.

Oh, The JoysOh, The Joys

My husband and I have two babies. They are fifteen months apart. The work load is crazy. When it all gets to be too much, we look at eachother and say sarcastic things like, “Oh, the joys” and “Our lives are so rich and full – are you experiencing the richness and fullness rightnow?” When things get really bad we say, “You’re not going to go out for a pack of cigarettes and never come back are you?” When we’re amused by two screaming children we share an imaginary cigarette and select a brand name for the occasion. Right before having two children, we traveled in SE Asia, Nepal, India, Africa, Central & South American for 16 months. Our lives aredifferent now. Filled with joys – like the joys of poo, farts, and trying not to swear… OH, THE JOYS! Seriously.
