No Time For A HaircutNo Time For A Haircut

My blog is a combination of health-related research and my day-to-day-life. I’m a first time mommy who started blogging because I wanted to journal about my pregnancy from August 2007-April 2008–and to get insight from others! In July 2008 I re-posted my pregnancy entries here, hoping to help other women with similar situations–such as, all-day sickness, a hypnobirthing labor, a posterior baby in a small pelvis, a son w/ jaundice and a brachial cleft fistula, my rollercoaster with breastfeeding, and de Quervain’s Tenosynovitis–so check my archives to read about these subjects! In the meantime, I’m continuing to go for my life-long dream of getting a novel published. I love life as a stay at home mom and have been married to my husband since April 2003. We have two maltipoo dogs and I enjoy reading, scrapbooking, and watching movies in my free time. Thanks so much for taking the time to read!

My Story Is Not OverMy Story Is Not Over

I was an almost success story, a second year law student- and then I found out I was pregnant. Since then, my life has changed dramatically and for awhile I thought my story was over;; I would never be what I could have been. Then I had my daughter and I knew my life was just beginning, I could write my, our, history!

When I’m not playing with, or chasing down, my beautiful 2 year old, I write about being a single mother, how I dealt/deal with everyone’s disapproval and disappointment, how others can learn from my experiences, my attempts at domesticity, arts-n-crafts, cooking, recipes, shopping, politics, photography, faith, the parental learning curve, and the life lessons I’ve learned.

It’s my life, 2.0; trying to be the best mother possible while also reclaiming the me I thought I’d lost. It hasn’t been easy, but I wouldn’t change a thing, and I hope that my experiences can be of help, maybe even an example, to someone struggling through similar circumstances.

My daughter has filled my life with indescribable blessings and I want to be a mother worthy of such a gift!
