A Peek into the life of Anthony MatthewA Peek into the life of Anthony Matthew

This is a blog about the life of my son Anthony Matthew. He was born at 26 weeks 6 days gestation. He is considered a Micro- preemie, being he was born weighing 2lbs 3oz. http://anthonysawesome.blogspot.com/

Anthony is an IVF baby and he is a twin. His sister, Hailey left us at 20 weeks gestation and as a result of her death, Anthony came much too early. He was in the NICU for 91 days and came home on oxygen and apnea monitor.

I write my blog to help other preemie parents out there that are scared and confused about the world they have been thrown into. I write to let them know that there is hope!

Having my son was the hardest, scariest experience I’ve ever been through in my life, but he is also the best thing that has ever happened to me.

I Am BoymomI Am Boymom

I Am Boymom. That’s who I’ve been for 9 years now. I eat, drink and sleep boy stuff. I am starting to remember that I am a girl. Mostly I remember this when one of my 3 men does something disgusting. I also remember it when I go in my sons’ bathroom. I can truthfully say, as a girl, I have NEVER peed on the wall. I have however, as a Boymom, cleaned it off of the wall, and many other shocking places, several thousand times. I love being a Boymom, but I am glad that my girl side has reappeared and stops by once in awhile, even if it’s only for quick visits. She takes better care of me than Boymom does. It was her idea to start writing about all of this. Pre-Boymom realizes that a girl needs to communicate (read VENT, SHARE, LAUGH, EXPRESS). That’s what my blog is all about. My life as Boymom.

Baby Get GreenBaby Get Green

My blog was born out of a desire to process and connect while staying home with Evee (although I am currently working part time while my husband goes to grad school). Since having the desire to become a mom, I have also had a desire to help other women know what it is to live in peace and simplicity—to know what they are supposed to be about and then go about doing that, whatever that may look like for them, knowing that the actual “doing” of this will most likely change many times in your lifetime. Women have so many things to think about and so many roles to fill. It may not seem possible to really be at peace with where we are at and what we are doing, but I really believe that it is! For me, I know that when I am following the Lord’s lead, I am ultimately at peace—I sense it in my spirit and see simplicity in our family life. I am just in the beginning stages of discerning what this is all about, but I’m just taking it one day at a time. This is our journey…I greatly appreciate your patience in the process!
